I would have done the same thing, if it was in the UK. In fact I wanted the whole thing back but they wouldn't do it!

i would sell mine for the right price, need uk reg but is very clean but as you may be able to see from the pic has a little rust at the front of the wing around the headlight frame, 2.0 v4 essex engine, under 5k miles from new, 1977 model year, no windows in the side doors unlike most german fire vans. don't know what its worth.
