Transit custom 168bhp to 190 remap

Hi all. I have a transit custom 340 which is 168bhp. Looking at getting a stage 1 remap to 190. Has anyone any experience of doing this and what did your insurers need? Did you need to get anything uprated on the mechanical side, or supply any paperwork or just tell them and they add to your premium?

Before you even think about extracting more power from that engine, have you had the wetbelt replaced

Yes, was replaced last year.

A wee update.
I called my insurance brokers, Vanline direct and they said the current insurers dont want to touch it. So Vanline direct did me a quote £1400 was the lowest they could give me. I was paying 398 before. Called Adrian Flux who I have used in the past. They got me a quote at £673.02.
According to them a big part of the cost hike is that it is a van used for business purposes. If it was just for domestic use or a camper it doesnt hike the premium nearly so much. Supposedly only very few insurers will touch a remap of a vehicle for business use.
Adrian Flux were excellent and under half the cost of any others i called.
A lot of people have said not to bother telling the insurance but its just not worth it, especially as my employees drive it too.
