I read about Fords Smart Charge battery charging and disabling it by pressing ECO button in dashboard. My custom doesnt have the ECO button. Just wondering will the Start/stop disable -button do the same thing? (Meaning button whitch has a letter "A" inside a circle). Or do i have to add the ECO button and wirings to get traditional full charging? The manual gives so contradictory info about it so i have no idea.
I have y 2014 custom with 2 batteries and the alternative battery will run flat during a week. Its replaced this september and power usage is not so much. Just 15min park heater in the mornigs. Daily travel with car is 65miles+ and used travel time more than one hour. Still after a week now the batterys rest voltage is 11,9V and needs to recharge with outer charger. I have been using Ctek automatic charger and after charging the battery voltage is about 12,8V whitch is good for new battery. Next sunday it will be again about 11,8-12,00V and needs charging again. Been like this few weeks now.
I checked the current what car is discharging the battery when parked and locked etc. That was about 200mA so im saying the car doesnt run the battery flat when parked. Its the worldsaving cars smart charging system that doesnt charge the battery.
