power folding mirrors

My power folding mirrors have stopped working. I am able to adjust the glass from the control on the driver's door however. I had the van with my Ford dealer today and they said it's neither the fuse, relay or switch on the door. They said the next step would be to start ripping off the door card's and fitting new mirrors to see if they work. They didn't have time today and asked me to call back next week. I find it hard to believe the two mirrors went faulty at the exact time. Have any of you guys had a similar problem?

Wiring looms break in the door frame,between door and van.
Or,water / corrosion in the connection to van harness...
