stereo upgrade

I have a 2014 custom I have upgraded the stereo, however I cannot change the time and date on the little screen, I pull the speech button on the steering wheel to access the menu and change the time, but then it just stays on looking for a radio station, I only want the time and date on display?

Did you manage to set the clock?

I am looking at replacing my standard headunit with Sony AX3005DB, but my OCD would not let me have incorrect time on the top display...

Also, do you always need the key in the ignition to operate the aftermarket headunits? I like the way the standard radio works - that it does not require key to be in.
