Loss of power, trouble starting and grey smoke?

Hi I’ve bought a 17 plate 2 litre eco blue, it’s well down on power and have trouble starting it from cold when it does start it produces white/smoke. It then sprang an oil leak from wet belt cover. It’s currently stripped down to the belt waiting for parts from Ford to do full wet belt service and new sump. I’m now wondering about the lack of power the trouble starting and the smoke. Should I put it all back together with all new filters and them look for the problem ?
