Towing capacity of mk8

I hope someone can help here
I'm considering buying a Motocaravan based on a 2024 mk8 with a 2.0l 170hp and Auto box
I'm trying to find out what It can tow.
In looking I get only 750kg max with the autobox. this don't seem right to me
Does anyone know if this is correct, or point me to somewhere that might help.
I'm not looking to tow anything excessive, only about a ton or so.
But if the auto box won' let me tow this amount then guess I'll go for a manual, which I'm guessing would be much higher
I know my Mk7 140 bus can tow 2 tons no probs

My '22 120HP Transit is 1300kg with brake and 750kg with no brakes. 4365kg total. (That's a Spanish tech sheet, yours could be different).

Can I just check that yours has the Automatic gear box?
This is where I'm having the probs with the numbers.

Yes, auto.
Has also a bit less payload (3385kg instead of 3500kg)

I can live with 1300kg , yea my trailer is braked 1ton ptac.
