Engine service now

Had this come up 3 times today with reduced power.
Cycled ignition,and message gone and back to normal no EML showed just the engine service now in information display.
Only 10000 miles since last service.

Any ideas as to the cause of this message ?

Well got EML now as well so I suppose will have to go in to get sorted !

Buy a Bluetooth OBD2 adaptor off eBay, a cheap fault code reader or forscan cable.
This will tell you what the problem is.

A garage will read the code and tell you.

Keep us posted what the problem is.

2nd engine at 47000 now at 74000miles

Needs code reading,but boost hose on n/s common for chafing on engine crossmember and rubbing through.(rwd)
Fwd can chafe near alternator.
Fuel filter ? Tho that usually says on dash when it's blocking up..

And now the power steering is playing up with no power assist below 1500 rpm

Pump and rack were replaced in June just gone, just under 6 months
