It mentions better engines, is it still one running timing belts in oil ? or are they using the Mondeo/Peugeot 2 litre ?

I've had VW 19 and 2.0 tdi cars for the last 10years never had a second trouble with them , I'm not to sure how they would fare in a van thiugh.
I've always kept transits except for a breif flirt with a trafic and master.
My current car is a 2018 2.0 190 dsg auto it is lovely to drive

I’ve never had any engineer or gearbox problems with any of my Ford cars or vans, but when I went over to Audi 15 years ago had problems with the auto box’s A6 2.5tdi 04 plate and 2.7 auto both was bought new and the 2.7 needed a new box at 42k 5 years old. I e now got over to BMW 3 years ago again bought new and so far no problems but o my done 24k

It was the 6 cylinders but the engine was excellent just the auto box’s was crap. Don’t think I would buy a audi car again put me right off more so with the customer service I got buying new with full history. Plus my bmw does much more mpg than any of my Audi’s.
Thing is we all have different experiences with cars & vans over the years half the time it’s pot luck
