Hi all, I'm a newbie when it comes to the Transit vans. Bought a VG long wheel base to convert to a camper so I can enjoy the weekend away fishing. Only had it for a couple of months and just going through it and trying to sort out the few problems it has, just so its reliable. Have driven mainly the Merc vans but really like the look of the Transit. I recently bought another unseen for the motor to build as a spare for the main one. When it turned up I was pleasantly surprised as it's not the piece of junk I thought it may be. I'll probably get it running and MOT'd and see how good the motor and running gear is before stripping it. They both have the same motor and injector pump(Epic I believe) but noticed they have different intake configurations. There are quite a few V6 (3 litre) conversions around here and I did toss up the idea of going that way but I'm happy with the way it goes at the moment with the turbo diesel. Would like a better diff ratio though for better highway cruising. cheer John
