Mk8 seats in Mk7

Postby Bobeek » Sun May 20, 2018 7:10 pm

I’m thinking to change the driver seat in my self-builf camper conversion (really uncomfortable on long journeys)..I found that the mk8 seat almost a straight swap so I’ll probably go with that but does anyone know what’s the deal with the double passanger seat? Is that would fit too?

Personally I don’t find that the mk8 seats are comfortable they are to hard I like the mk6 and mk7 better

Maybe they not that comfy but you’ve got the lumbar support and the seat cushion adjustment what I probably need..

The lumber support makes my back worse so I don’t use it I think in all the years of driving transits the most comfortable seat was in a mk1 k reg if it had been cloth instead of plastic it would have been brilliant it must have been the first van we had with hight adjuster

The passenger seat fits, it’s only a case of trimming the floor mat and swapping two bolts for longer ones and drilling one new hole at the handbrake side.

At least it was on mine :D
