immobilizer light cranks no start

Hi Guys
2004 connect isnt turning over, anti theft light flashes normal until the key is turned, van then cranks anti theft light flashes rapid but never starts engine
has anyone experienced this fault, im not sure if its the fuel pump, or faulty ecu
anti theft is obviously stopping it from starting engine.
