4M5Q9B395AF connect fuel pump removal guide

Postby Pdawber » Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:16 am

Hi all,

Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to replace a 2012 1.8 tdci siemens fuel pump? I bought the haynes manual but it only has the delphi type.

Thanks

I thought it was the same, but could be wrong again.
Search the title below for a detailed strip down guide.

Great found it thanks. Do you know if this pump needs setting up or aligning in any way? On the delphi one you have to align a hole in the drive flange with a mark on the pump body but I cant see anything on the siemens pump?

Testing my memory now, Perhaps one of the others can confirm but I'm fairly sure pump timing is irrelevant except on Tddi.
However you will need the locking kit to position crank & cam. I have a nagging feeling that the pump sprocket had slotted holes but I can't think why.

Your 2012 will have wet belt which you ought to replace or convert to chain if the pump is coming out.
