Ford transit connect speed restrictor

Postby Mikearella » Wed Nov 07, 2018 6:41 pm

hi was wondering where to turn next took my connect to have the speed limited removed ,they ran the ids programe and reset everything and my speed was then restricted to 70 mph and not 60 so I took it back and they done it again and I was told it was not possible to derestrict this model as it was hard wired in ford.thought I would give it a try down the motor way and to my joy I was able to travel at way above the national speed limit on closed roads so this kind of pooped what fords had said .problem is I got in my van today and it’s back to 68 mph now maximum
Any ideas would be very grateful thanks don’t want to be bombing around the countryside just want a bit extr speed just in case I’m stuck out there in lane 3 and can’t get back in please help regards mike
