Does this sound like an EGR fault?

Postby mik82 » Tue Oct 09, 2018 1:45 pm

For a month or so I've noticed some intermittent slight hesitancy at about 1800rpm if I re-accelerate after letting revs drop past about 1500. It doesn't happen all the time, and is noticeable mainly in 4th/5th
The other morning it wouldn't start from cold. I left it 10 mins and tried again - started no problem. Similar the next day so plugged in a code reader and got P1335 - EGR position sensor minimum stop performance, signal above maximum threshold.
The past two days it has started from cold without issue. Driving today - had some hesitancy as before - as this happened the powertrain warning light came on, "Engine fault" on the display and it went into limp mode
After stopping and restarting the engine, the warning has gone and it drives as before

Did you get anywhere with this? I have similar problem but without any errors codes - it's driving me mad.

It can still do the hesitancy thing, but I haven't had any further starting issues. I haven't got around to getting the egr looked at, but it drives a lot better after a few long runs at motorway speeds.

Weird running glitches with no fault codes are a bit of a recurring theme on here.

Yes <sigh>. 2 fuel pumps, 8 injectors, 1 tank, 1 fuel pressure gauge, several fuel pipes and good game two grand ...
