Vibration under load

Postby gt_addict » Fri May 02, 2014 3:45 pm

Hi guys,

I'm still getting a vibration under acceleration (not normal driving just under harder acceleration). I've had both driveshafts replaced and the passenger side wheel bearing and it's still not disappeared. I had te drivers side shaft replaced again as I thought it was that. I'm tempted to get the passenger side one replaced again aswell but I can't keep spending unless I have a good idea what it is.

Van is LWB tdci 2004 plate with 140,000milez on it.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Nope not there. My old man came up with an idea. Would it be an engine mount? I don't know the symptoms of a knackered one of those though.

My van started to do this at beginning of the week, I also thought driveshaft as that was what it was before, driveshafts were fine but the top gearbox mounting bracket had pulled away from the chassis by splitting down the weld (the part that is actually welded on from factory which gearbox mount attaches). Had it re welded and seems fine now

I'll have to check all the mounts at some point this weekend then. The lower torque mount under the engine will be alright as that one has been done recently.

Hi, I have just got my 2008 fwd lwb Transit van (294000 km)back from the mechanic. I had new from struts fitted and two diesel injector seals done. Now the vehicle has a strong vibration under acceleration in 4th, 5th and 6th gears. Before it went into the mechanics shop, this vibration was not there. I have not had time to take the Transit back to the shop. Although the mechanic said to bring it in after I phoned him. Coming up to Christmas 2018 and Auckland, New Zealand is in panic mode, so I cant make it in to see whats up(too busy). BUT it must be the front shocks ? True ?
