135/140

Postby dametrans » Mon Aug 09, 2010 9:33 pm

i am going to look at a mk6 jumbo on sat , etis says its a 140ps, however looking through some threads i see some vans classed as 135/140, i am very wary of this as it appears the 135 engine is the one to keep away from ???????????

140 -3=137 135=2=137 so it couldn't be nearer 140

Ford called the later ones 140ps. Why would you not go near it? These higher output ones are sought after!

well my very good friend bought a 135 pick recently and i posted some threads on his behalf as he really had terrible trouble with injectors and injector pump, he waited over 5 weeks for main dealer to get new pump and if i am not mistaken the 135 is one that gives most trouble as far as i can see on this site

Any engine will give trouble if not looked after, If you buy a 135/140 just make sure you put a chain and tensioner on it
