van not charging key

after a bit of troubleshooting i have come to discover my van is no longer charging the fob, ive put the fob on a toothbrush charger and it now works, is there an easy way to fix this issue or should i not bother and just recharge every so often indoors. T.I.A.

never mind I'm an idiot, just opened my key after fiddling about with rcl receiver and wires and the key had dust inside, cleaned it up and resealed, working great again.
