Air and fuel in - combustion - exhaust out - power from the process.
Air and fuel in wrong = no/low power.
Combustion wrong = no/low power
Ehaust out wrong = no/low power.
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0299Forscan live shows FRP. and the readings of other sensors.
Catalytic break down = restriction.
DPF ash build up = restriction.
Internal engine wear can result in crankcase pressure = oil vapour taken in by inlet system = gundge.
Oil vapour + exhaust gas from EGR = lots of gundge after the EGR / inlet connection.
Is the EGR stuck open?
Is the FRP good - is there no inlet exhaust sytem restrictions?
(turbo spins freely I've checked) Do the vanes move freely?
Forgot to add its been remapped and dpf drilled about 4 years ago. - Remapped seems to mean HP output increased - if so usually results in more wear and tear. Deposits build up in the exhaust.
Now has a horrible diesel rattle under acceleration. Likely due to injection timming/qauntity - likely due to remapping.
It's a mk7 rwd 2.2 euro 5 crew cab tipper 160k. - Mk7 2006 to 2014. 2011 changes were made. Need to know vehicle year of manufacture.
Crew cab tipper has a payload of about .9 tonne.
Was very under powered like turbo wasn't spinning.(turbo spins freely I've checked) - Underpowered lots of posts re underpowered/limp mode/ no more than 3000 rpm.
Took it back to same garage they changed glowplugs, egr said it was fine but even worse than ever. - 160000 miles done. Not easy to get at EGR or glow plugs - lots of posts re both.
but still engine malfunction and esp light - ESP electrical stability program. ABS use the same wheel speed sensors ESP also has the steering angle sensor. ABS releases pressure. ESP applies pressure. Check wiring and sensors, reluctor wheel for dirt.
engine malfunction light - MIL multifunction indicator lamp/light - usually a DTC is shown/found when this general/warning indicator lamp shows.
ne thing I did notice when turning off sounds like a rattle from
Turbo actuator which is a black box type not a vacuum type - turbo bearing knackered is a cassette. Take off outlet from turbo - with finger can feel if to much play.
Unplugging it doesn't throw a code. Not easy to get at and unplug. Was it properly in?
There saying possibly injectors still/pilot learn. The 2012 E5 has self learning injectors.
