Multi Function steering wheel MK7 internal lights?

Hi, Simple questions.

1: Should my Mk7 multi function steering wheel buttons be lit when the headlights are on? Do they have "instrument lights" in them? Cant see the buttons for cruise control etc..at night

2: Also fag lighter power socket ring is not lit. Should this have a light ? Is there one that lights up I can replace the existing one with ?

No they don’t light up and it’s a pain. But happy to say on the MK8 transit they do

Lol. Problem was because I never used mine much like 2-3 times year I use to forget what buttons was what. And them bumps or whatever they are called wasn’t any good for my asbestos hands

I fitted that mk4 mondeo steering wheel to the mk7 and I got the leds and cruise to work but it was a ball ache
Maybe someone should mod a custom wheel onto the mk7
