Mk7 Euro 5 Brake Wear Indicator

Postby gt_addict » Sat Dec 08, 2018 1:35 pm

Afternoon everyone,

So my brake wear indicator has been coming on and off sporadically for the past few days and finally today i was able to get under the van and check it out. Ive found the problem (as you may well have guessed) its a broken wire on the front hub, unfortunately its broken clean right where it goes into the rubber part of the connector so cant solder it together. The trouble is its the end that clips to the strut and goes theough the bulkhead. Now having delved further under the bonnet I tracked the other end down and to my surprise (not really as its fords) its part of the main loom and has no plug the other end.

So to my question, has anyone got an old loom from the strut to the bulkhead?

Cheers.

Bought a rear “sub assy” and replaced the front broken section. Worked a treat.
