Those codes tend to indicate that the EDC unit on the top of the pump is going tits up, but could be a wiring issue.

Try starting it, and without touching the throttle, load the motor by trying to pull away in 3rd/against the handbrake - if all is well with the pump it should be able to hold the load at reduced revs without flagging a fault.

Yes tries to pull nps even if stalls no codes flagged untill try and rev it will run all day on reduced power would dirty injectors cause a back pressure to pump and cause the same ?? Only started after parked up for some time

I still think this is a fuel timing solenoid (on the pump) issue and/or as Jim said the pump edc, I believe you can have the edc repaired.

Had a few diesel people look at it and they keep saying it's not the pump it's starting to well and running spot on I am just lost with it one of them said they thought the egr bit where wire plugs in on egr solenoid bit will be faulty mine has a large bore egr tried several other 2.4 rwd transits a d mine is totally different priced up a few places and none show the right one it's a nightmare may grab a second hand one of fleebuy as there is 2 on there my injectors etc are not codded either hence was asking if that may cause the problem may end up being the pump but need to try all the cheaper options first it was running perfect before parked up for couple months that's what's got me :-(

Is your egg not vacuum controlled? Just blank the egr off, there a bloody pain in the are.

The fuel timing solenoid controls the flow of fuel to the pump.

Those codes you have are pump control module (EDC) and the ECU going into limp mode because it isn't getting the response it expects.

If the pump manages to hold/respond the load of a high gear at idle, I'd start looking at the wiring between pump connector and ECU before condeming the pump - though the EDC Amp failing is a likely cause.

Thanks Jim that's getting to be my thought wiring will take egr of again and inlet manifold have read that the wiring to timing solenoid is not great so may be earthing there lets hope anyway :-(

There is a 2.4 in the scrappy by me with the large egr and manifold but going with ned and think it's the timing solenoid.

Should know in next day or 2 as going to strip it out and get a good look did say in codes could be a wiring problem may still end up being pump I may be able to get a whole van so could change pump ecu and key parts etc not sure what's all needed to change pump over so whole van may work out handy if needs be as crazy price even for recon pump if it wasent for it being day van converted would have gave up by now :-(

Yup those both crossed my mind to swapped peddle for known good one and turbo actuator is perfect it also builds boost just limited fueling it's just strange the peddle carry on as can't find anyone with same symptom maybe mine is just extra special lol
