Is your oil that thick your turbo is sticking mr Ned sir ....tut tut.....or is it lack of oil think I'd rather hope it was sticky actuator than an oil problem

ANDZ

Its over due an oil change by about 2 months  once on boost it spins up to 25+ psi, I did check the oil Wednesday and its still at the top of the full mark 8) I was hoping it might be a vacuum issue (split a pipe in summer and lost all boost) so my plan Mr Andz Sir, oil change, check vac pipes, lube actuator and fanny around with the air intake, hit 216,000 today as well.
216k nice your catching up with me mate only 130k to go (old engine)or as she stands the noo 214k to go, think i just went over 430k the other night there, i fed her castrol magnatec A5 ford last oil change as it was fairly cheap to buy 10lt for £42

ANDZ[/quote]

42 sovs for 10L, bargain 8) think I used Fuchs last time, only because I like the name  I have the oil filter sat on the dash, bought 10 of them for 15sovs t'other year.

70k more and you'll be at half a million miles 8) and they say the 130 is crap

Too late now I ordered 20L of uinpart 5w30 fully synthetic for 44.99 sovs, should last me 3 oil changes, I'm thinking of dropping the sump this time and seeing what its like inside.

ANDZ & LOOT

I take my hat off to you then guys as I don’t think I would of wanted to it for a living, luckily I don’t need the van for work now so can take my time, I don’t mind the cold but there’s no way I would be lying under the van in the wet wind and snowy conditions as I had enough of that working in the building trade for 35yrs, the only reason I’m bothering is that I fitted a re-manufactured engine in it which has only done 60,000 so thought it was worth it.

Saying all that I seem to have a natural ability for welding considering it’s only the second time in my life I’ve tried it, it’s ok on a bench but will probably be a different kettle of fish on me back and upside down.

You do get a sense of achievement and if it is for yourself you can save a good amount of money and also if you haven't done it so much that you are sick of the sight of it then make your work space comfy and enjoy the experience. 8)

I have no idea how much it would of cost to get someone to do the work for me? Because it was only the cross brace that failed on the MOT plus a few more simple patches to do but as you know as soon as you start digging around it’s frightening how the work escalates, I think I would of had a phone call once they started saying the price has now quadrupled Mr ##### so I’m glad I’m doing it myself.

I know what you mean about being sick of the sight of it as said I’ve beendoing Shopfitters and construction for 35 yrs and now I’ve got to the stage to take time out and try other things, I don’t think it matters what you do for a living if it’s hard graft there comes a time to change. I’ve driven Transit all my life so it my duty to keep this one on the road as it has served me so well for the past 300,000 mile,
