sliding door inner handles.

Postby steviebee » Fri Sep 15, 2023 7:18 pm

Evening everyone l have these bolts on both sides in the crew cab part of my 2012 mk7 Trend. l assume they are for a grab handle. They are 185mm centres. Are these available at all, or has anyone fitted them from another vehicle.

Many thanks.

Steve.

if you cant find proper plastic ones a strip of leather would do nicely
is that rust spot new?

I've got two bolts like this on my sliding door and would like a handle on there too, the leather strap sounds good. A belt from a charity shop or Primarni might work too.

Yes leather strap sounds good, thanks 'TheCake' for the suggestion.

That looks good Redvee. Ashamed to say have not got around to doing mine yet. Too many other jobs on it to be getting on with after it being broken into and having the cab smashed up. New clutch fitted in France which took a month and cost over £2K and then told by the garage it needed a new gearbox at 5800€ yes you read right. Got it brought back to UK by AA and had it done here. But it is on my.list honest lol.

That was a quick job when I had time after starting on making brackets etc for overhead storage above the seats.
