1999 Mk5 100lwb tyres

Smiley 100 LWB converted into a camper. We spend a lot of time in Brecon beacons, snowdonia, Dartmoor etc and lots of other rural places. As is common knowledge the old rwd transit's are totally useless on anything other than tarmac!
Ideally I'd like to put some sort of mud & snow tyres on it. I've got a td5 disco with general grabber AT2's on and they're awesome. Excellent on the road/motorways and very good in the slippy stuff.
Obviously I can't put these on the transit.

Any recommendations for good tyres? If only it were running 15" wheels!!

Yokohama GEOLANDAR I/T G071 are very, very good winter tyres - for ice because of large numbers of small sipes and for snow and mud because of big, heavy blocks with large space. Tyres are available in size 195R15 96 T XL.
My colleagu use this tyres - but on Forester - and he said he doesn't know better tyres for winter - on motorways and off road... Yes, I know - Transit RWD it isn't Subaru Forester, but anyhow this tyres are excellent.

First problem we have about load rating, tyres are indicated by XL (not C), with load index 96. But for Transit 100LWB it's good enough - I think...
Second problem it is price - this tyres are premium class. Quality costs...

Would these still take 195 tyres?
