Since August 15, I was on vacation and repairing the body of my Transit.
I replaced some of the side members in the rear part of the body, removed the tow bar, restored the cross members connecting the side members to the sides of the body, repaired the rear panel, removed rust on the right side of the body and painted these places.
And today I replaced the cushion under the gearbox.
The vibrations have become noticeably weaker.

Decided to put it back on.
Plastic bits you screw into were buggered,so went to the local little DIY place to find a suitable replacement.

Matt will either have a shed load of these or he can make them using his 3d printing skills

Advisories is no longer a place to advise you of stuff, its a place to covers the testers backside. Thats a comment to say he can't see if you have welded proper metal in, washing machines or just whacked a load of fibreglass in....

What are you trying to insinuate
I repair my van with white goods and metal shelving

Today I managed to make my Speedo not work.
Tomorrow I'll check fusebox, wiring and speed sensor if it's dry.
The latter was replaced w year or so ago, although that says nothing about the quality of it though

Did you not explain that it was the excess from greasing your nipples

I've been on vacation at the dacha for 12 days now.
I patch the holes in the body and immediately touch up the paint.
I changed the front brake hoses, replaced the cuffs, boots and brake pistons in the left front brake caliper.
The speedometer stopped working, probably the drive cable broke.
The clock, windshield washer pump and cigarette lighter stopped working. I haven’t had time to repair it yet.

Do they work or are they a bit sh*t?

I've seen them used on cars with success

But (from memory) there is a reason why they are a bit of a pain, and take some ingenuity to fit on the mk3/4/5.... I just can't remember what it is. Maybe something like it has to push to unlock and it pulls or something similar?

About two weeks ago the speedometer stopped working. I immediately decided that the speedometer cable had broken. I bought a new one.
Today there is an opportunity to do some repairs.
There was hope that it would be possible to change only the rotating core.
It didn’t work out - about 30-35 centimeters from the gearbox the cable got stuck in the sheath.
I had to replace the millet completely.
The speedometer works again.

The losses of the Russian army in Ukraine exceeded 310 thousand heads.
Over the past two weeks, British Storm Shadow and French Scalp missiles have destroyed two Russian landing boats in Crimea and caused heavy damage to the Russian missile ship Askold.
This ship has not yet been accepted into the Russian fleet and is practically destroyed.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces captured a 35-kilometer-wide bridgehead on the eastern Russian-occupied right bank of the Dnieper.
The Russians continuously storm the city of Avdeevka, a nearby suburb of Donetsk occupied in 2014, and suffer heavy losses there.
Perhaps they will be able to capture Avdeevka, just as they were able to capture Bakhmut.

I apologize for the messages about Ukraine posted in this thread. This is my mistake.
I already wrote here that last year I installed on my old Transit a rear axle from a 2007 car with a gear ratio of 1:3.31. The original gearbox had a gear ratio of 1:4.11.
At first the car didn’t want to drive with this gearbox at all, but adjusting the fuel pump and turbocharger made the ride easy and enjoyable.
But there is a big speedometer error.
I started using a GPS app on my smartphone to monitor my speed and distance traveled.
A mechanical speedometer reduces the speed reading by 20% and the mileage by approximately 30%.
I decided to compare the mileage readings of both speedometers with kilometer posts on the road.
The mileage according to the pillars and the GPS speedometer coincided, the mechanical one gives an error downwards by 31%.
