Diesel filter leak

Postby GT VIRUS » Sun Dec 16, 2018 7:32 am

I've just finished swapping the injector pump on my Aussie 99 2.5TDi, and it runs fine, however I have a massive leak from the botton of the filter assembly. I've attached a pic of the assembly, as I haven't seen any pictures of similar setups, so I was wondering if this setup was a quirk of the aussie delivered vans, and if anyone knows what might be causing it? I'm guessing incorrect seals around the top of the glass part

Hi, That's an aftermarket filter housing. If it is leaking between the glass and the alloy then replace the seal, its the same size as the one above so if you buy another filter you can use the seal in the box with it.
