So if I have run out of diesal in 1978 2.4 MK2. Is there a way off pumping the dual round?

Has it not got the priming hand pump on the fuel filter head .if you have run out of diesel if you fill it up crack the injector pipes open and spin it over on the starter till fuel is squirting out of the pipes then tighten them up and it should start
