Now that's bad! Was somebody using it as an ancor?

The part of the driver's seat you can see doesn't look too bad :o ...so maybe the interior has been saved! :D

Transit for sale ~ can be heard rusting

Postby tranorak » Tue Jan 23, 2007 4:03 pm

Correct, it had been parked in a field for years :( At the time (3 or 4 years ago) I had no idea how rare certain bits were, and didn't value tan colour seats so didn't save them. They were good nick but my project needed black ones
The van had had money spent on it just before it came off the road, lots of new panels had been fitted, only by pop-rivets luckily so i easily chiselled off a pair of front wings :D & rear corners :D & all gen ford panels too, plus a perfect Mk2 drivers door :D and a perfect rust free Mk1 tailgate with chrome catch. I had no storage :( and the tailgate got driven over by a Forklift accidentally on purpose  i still wake up at night remembering that one :(
The dash trim found a home though :D
Diff death is what killed this van, the bust one was removed from the axle and a brand new one was there ready to fit.... but it had been under the drippy bit of roof and was F***ed :(

& if you think thats rusty wait till you see my Diesel Mk1 panel van
