Have been a bit quiet as of late doing other jobs, Now on with some more work on the Transit, one other job was to drop the oil, and replace filter. This was my first attempt at changing the oil on a Transit so had a quick look on YouTube, came across a guy who shows how the oil is changed. I had to use a big socket and a bit of leverage on the oil filter, only to get most of the contents of the oil down my arm, lesson learned for next time.
Oil and filter changed new oil turned black straight away so i told son in law to run it for about 2000 miles and drop it again. I dont want to use flushing oil as that may do more harm than good

Near side sill, this was what we were faced with once we pulled off the long strip of metal that was stuck in place with sealer, not even welded in

New metal went in and a new paret inner sill was shaped out of 2mm plate and was welded in. A few people told me to use angle line but i thought the 2mm plate shaped would look tidier.
Some of the outer sill had to be ref abricated
