Bit more welding etc. Propshaft all good to go and new seals on the gearbox output flange and gear selector.n/s/r wheel arch inner fitted/welded. Not pretty but I'll clean it up,paint it and seam seal it.

Bit more, finished the alu zinc,red lead and a thick coat of white stone chip in the middle, I can then spray it silver or red then refit the heat shields,tank and spare wheel etc in the middle

not sure how I'll rebuild the arch front though need to cut 1 off a scrapper , might need to make 1 though.

I kept an oil filter cooler and a pair of rear shockers and updated tailgate struts from snowflake and I'm happy to say they'll fit this 1.
Good job as it seems that the aforementioned bits are in need of replacement. I've also undersealed about the heat shields and refitted them with me rivets
And I've sprayed the rear bumper extended step brackets and fitted them and the metal step.

Need a towbar now, have 1 but I don't think it extends to allow the step. I want a removable tow bar ideally

Ah maybe next time it's a really big shield though so I like the idea that it keeps the salty water off a bit of the underside

Underneath stone chipped and where the heat shields and tank go ice sprayed with stone guard black stuff. The tank is back on and the propshaft back on etc.brake pipes need a clean but are like new,i think they've had a light smear of university grease which has dried out. I did plan on removing them and really clean them up like new and green paint, i don't actually like copper pipes,they look like they crack and craze and wouldn't last as long despite them not rusting. But I'm sure they'll last forever or they wouldn't be allowed. There is nicel played copper pipes or something like that available.

Need a 65mm socket for the hub.I'm fixing the seal leak.

Bought a whole repair panel just to cut the end off
Fitted the new axle oil seal,the brakes were done and the monkey must have let go of the assembly when fitting the disk back on as it nipped the seal,really done but it was leaking.
I bought a new socket 15 quid and a new bar 28 quid I have a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer so it'll work as a future tool.

Went over to the engineering place today and got them to make the inner cills from a technical drawing I made

They didn't charge me. The front inner cill can be bought but not the rear I think it is part of the step , the other non door side is a full panel I think.

I got them to make 2 as I will be fitting a second slider I hope.

Ironically drilling the spots and cutting the whole thing out takes very little time and spot welding the new 1 in its allowed because that's how it is done originally, my excuse anyway.

Also the strut and spring are rusty but a set of both is 150 quid min, debating trying to blast the shocks although the inner me wants to buy new ones
