Yes very rare never seen one in the UK I did see two in germany around 1991 at a van show. They are nice. I have no idea where to get the body kit but I do know where there is a new set of wheels for one,,, peter

I love the wheels but they wouldnt suit my mk1/2 also i bet the back tyres are expensive 9x15 8)

Its a short wheel base custom van made by steve stringer cruiser company the last one he made, custom paint and captains chairs, sink fridge and sunroof the whole 1970s look all in one van.. Nice.. pick it up next week and will post you some pictures then,

Regarding foreign transits, a friend of mine recently moved to south africa, I mentioned that with the favourable exchange rate, bringing back a rust free (because of the climate) classic car would make sense. "sure," he said "let me know what you want and I'll find you one"
"mk1 transit," I said.
can you believe it? they never had transit vans out there!!! If you want a mk3 cortina pickup (bakkie) with an essex 3.0, no problem...but light commercials were and are all Toyota flippin' hiaces or those hideous air cooled volkswagen things.
