re heater control switch

thanks in advance the heater control switch in the cab on a mk 7 2008 transit is it electrical or vacume as new water valve fitted but cant control it from inside

I think it's both actually, vacuum control for the water valve and electrical for the blend door motor.

Check the vacum hoses , the vacum hose on mine that goes through the bulkhead next to heater hose collapsed flat and i replaced it with a length of brake pipe with bit of the rubber pipe on each end to connect there's also a vacuum gizmo on n/s inner wing behind headlight which controls the vacum and is electronically controlled , i broke mine and joined the two pipe ends with brake pipe but now I've either to have vacum pipe on the water diverter or off the diverter with a screw blocking vacum hose
