Smell,

Postby Mattcourier007 » Tue Nov 13, 2018 9:18 pm

Hi all, I’ve trawled the net and can’t find an answer to my question so posting here as I’m at the end of my tether, there is a smell of canibis coming from the front of the van, it’s a transit t350 64 plate, I’ve taken it to garages who keep telling me there’s nothing to worry about, the smell is that strong that people can smell it in the street when I pull up and if i inhale the smell I nearly pass out,
Please can someone help me as I feel that I could be doing myself long term damage.
Please no smart quips about “ have I got some weed stashed” I’ve heard all this a million times over the past few weeks from garages and people I’ve asked.

Just run a voltmeter across the battery/s while the engine is running, if it's more than ~14.4-ish volts,, you may be overcharging and killing the batteries and causing the smell. If so the regulator in the alternator may be duff.
